A Rocklea laundry run by people who actually fold
Snoravi has been washing clothes on Sherwood Road since 2012. Two machines in the beginning, eight commercial units now, and the same idea behind all of it: take the chore off your hands and give it back properly done.
It started because the queue for a dryer was too long
Marek Nowak bought the shop after a wet winter spent carting laundry into the city. He'd been working long hours and the only laundromat near him closed at five. Rocklea had plenty of houses, plenty of washing, and no proper drop-off service. So he opened one.
The first year was two second-hand washers, a folding table against the back wall and a hand-written price board. Word got around. Sporting clubs started dropping off muddy kits on Sunday nights, and that pushed the first commercial machine through the door in 2016. Households kept coming, and so did the venues.
Today the shop is at 451 Sherwood Road with eight machines, a roller press for commercial flatwork and a van that runs the southside pickup route. The staff have changed a little over the years. The folding standard hasn't.
Three rules we won't bend on
Laundry is simple work, but simple doesn't mean careless. These are the things we've decided never to get sloppy about.
Show the work
Every bag gets weighed at the counter with the customer watching, and every commercial delivery arrives with a tally slip signed by the duty manager. No mystery numbers on the receipt.
Look after the fabric
We use detergents that work in cool water, and we choose the cycle based on what the item is made of, not how dirty it looks. Delicates go on the rack, not into a hot tumble.
Answer the phone
There is no call centre, no ticket queue, no chatbot. When you ring the counter during opening hours, somebody standing in the shop picks up. That is the whole policy.
How the last twelve years went
Opened on Sherwood Road with two washers and a folding table at the back. First customers were neighbours walking their dogs past the shop.
First commercial contract signed with a Woolloongabba pub that needed four hundred bar towels washed every week.
Installed a roller press for flatwork and hired the first dedicated commercial route driver.
Took on medical clinic contracts, which added gown and drape handling and a separate hygiene wash bay.
Moved into the current site at 451 Sherwood Road with eight machines and a dedicated folding counter.
Expanded to five commercial routes across Brisbane's inner south, bayside and eastern suburbs.
The people behind the folding table
Small crew, long memories. If you've been dropping in for a while, you'll probably recognise most of these faces.
Marek Nowak
Owner and founder
Opened the shop in 2012 after a decade in logistics. Still drops in most mornings to check the machines and drink the first coffee of the day.
Linh Tran
Counter manager
Has weighed more laundry bags than anyone else at Snoravi. Knows the regulars by name and can spot a delicate item across the room.
Dillon Marsh
Commercial accounts
Runs the site visits, stock counts and the phone line for hotels and clinics. If you have a contract, his number is the one on your paperwork.
Sofia Reyes
Folding floor lead
Runs the press and the folding tables. Checks every finished pile against the job ticket before it goes out the door.

A sample of the loads and contracts that shaped how the shop runs today.
Suburban household washing
Weekly drop-off for roughly ninety households across Tarragindi, Annerley and Moorooka. Standard wash, fold and text when it's ready.
Restaurant linen routes
Tablecloths, napkins and tea towels for eleven Brisbane venues, pressed flat through the roller press and bundled to a fixed count.
Hotel doonas and bedding
A boutique hotel in South Brisbane sends forty doonas a week. They get their own oversized machine and air-dry rack, away from the regular wash.
Clinic gowns and drapes
Three medical clinics rely on our hygiene-cycle washing and sealed-bag delivery. Gowns go back room by room, counted against the contract sheet.
The kettle's on, the machines are running
If you want to see how your laundry gets handled before you hand it over, walk in during opening hours. We'll show you around the counter, the machines and the folding floor.
