Who we are and what this policy covers
Snoravi is a laundry and dry cleaning business at 451 Sherwood Road, Rocklea QLD 4106, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information we collect when you drop laundry at our counter, book a pickup, call us, or use this website.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988. Where a customer is based overseas, we also try to meet the spirit of the GDPR for that customer's data, particularly around access, correction and deletion requests.
If you have a question about this policy, contact us at snoravi@hotmail.com or call the counter on 07 3842 9176.
What information we collect
We keep the information we actually need to run the service, and nothing more.
- Contact details - your name, phone number, email address and, for pickup and delivery, your street address.
- Job details - the weight of your laundry, the item counts on a commercial contract, and the pickup and delivery dates tied to your account.
- Payment records - the amount charged and the date of the transaction. We do not store full card numbers on our systems; card payments run through our payment provider.
- Messages - anything you send us through the contact form, by email or by text, kept so we can answer your question and follow up.
- Basic website data - pages visited and general device information, collected through cookies. The Cookie Policy explains this in detail.
How we use your information
We use your details to process your laundry, contact you when a job is ready, arrange pickups, send invoices and answer questions about an order. For commercial clients we also use stock counts and delivery records to keep the route running and to reconcile the monthly invoice.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent customer lists to anyone. We may send you a service message, such as a text that a bag is ready or a reminder about an overdue commercial pickup. Marketing messages only go out if you have asked for them, and you can stop them at any time by replying to the message or ringing the counter.
Who we share information with
Information is shared only where it is needed to complete a job.
- Delivery drivers contracted to Snoravi see the name and address for a route.
- Payment providers process card transactions and hold their own security obligations.
- Our accounting system receives the invoice totals needed to keep our books, which is a legal requirement.
- Government agencies only where the law requires disclosure, for example a valid court order.
Where a supplier holds data for us, we require them to protect it and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
Job records are kept for five years after the last transaction, because tax laws require us to keep financial records for that period. Contact details used only for a one-off enquiry are removed after twelve months. If you close a commercial account, we delete the operational records and keep only the invoice history we are legally required to hold.
Paper job slips stay behind the counter and are shredded after the retention period. Digital records sit on password-protected systems with access limited to the counter and accounts staff who need them for their work.
Your rights and how to contact us
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete what we are not legally required to keep. Ring the counter, email snoravi@hotmail.com, or write to 451 Sherwood Road, Rocklea QLD 4106.
We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We would appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
